The First Progress Report of the Project was also discussed at the meeting, and the members present agreed to submit their comments on the document within the next seven days in order to enable the adoption of this document too.
Project representatives also introduced the participants to the work plan and an overview of key project tasks by Component. This presentation passed without comments, thus allowing the project team to continue with project implementation, including the working group activities, as planned. The first workshops will be organized in July. During the meeting, the status and further appointment of members of the working groups were discussed, and it was agreed that this process will also be concluded within the next seven days.
The meeting was attended by representatives from the Delegation of the European Union to BiH, the Directorate for European Integration, the Ministry of Civil Affairs of BiH, representatives of ministries of education at the entity and cantonal levels and the Department of Education of Brcko District BiH, as well as representatives of education agencies. The second meeting of the SC of the E4E Project was chaired by Adnan Husić, a representative of the Ministry of Civil Affairs of BiH, the main beneficiary of the project, together with the Project Team Leader Almir Kovačević.
In order to overcome a high unemployment rate and a huge mismatch of the education and training systems with the demands of the labour market, the EU funded project “Education for Employment, BiH” aims to produce human resources in line with the labour market needs in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The project will assist BiH authorities in improving capacity and structure for planning the educational process and quality of educational outcomes.
