On Wednesday, April 21, 2021, Mreža za izgradnju mira organized an online networking conference on “Education in Social Focus – Current processes and projects in formal and non-formal education in BiH: needs and opportunities for the involvement of civil society and the business sector.”

With the premise that education is a key factor of development for every individual and a community, the goal of the event was to gather a large number of participants from the education, civil society and economy sectors in order to facilitate information sharing about the challenges, interests and needs they are facing in their work, and to build a network of professional contacts and partnerships.
Participants in the conference spoke about issues concerning investment in the education system and educational reforms, but also about the more substantial involvement of civil society and the business sector in the reform process. They also discussed educational issues and the current challenges that the corona virus pandemic has posed to society.
One of the speakers at the conference was the Team Leader of the project “Education for Employment (E4E) in BiH”, Adi Kovacevic, who presented this recently launched project funded by the European Union, which aims to develop human resources across the education system in line with the labour market needs in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The E4E project has a broad reach across all levels of education and is building up close ties with other efforts in BiH in the field.
